i need a couple of acoustic songs that have a very distinguiable strumming
pattern to them that i can practice, has anyone got any recommendations?

I've been playing along with some Coldplay songs from their "A Rush of
Blood to the Head" CD. I think it's good strumming practice, and it's
fun. You can get tabs to show you the chords.

A lot of Eagles songs use DDU UDU. Another one that uses it is "Leaving On A
Jetplane". At least the Peter, Paul And Mary version.
